Urgent recruitment at the German University of Technology (GUtech) in the Sultanate of Oman
- The history of the German University of Technology (GUtech) can be traced back to 2003, when visionary Omanis contemplated the establishment of a high quality university of technology in Oman. This vision was inspired by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos’ directions for the provision of quality higher education in Oman by private investors.
- RWTH Aachen University in Germany was approached with the intention of bringing German excellence in education to Oman. After few years of discussion and negotiation, the founders were ready to begin a plan of action for establishing a university.
- In August 2006, Oman Educational Services L.L.C. (OES), a limited liability company under the laws of the Sultanate of Oman, was incorporated to establish a university on formal footing. OES is also the legal entity responsible for initiating education related future projects.
- A Collaborative Agreement between RWTH Aachen University and OES was signed in December 2006, paving the way for the establishment of a private university in the Sultanate of Oman. This cemented the groundwork for everything the founder envisioned: a high quality university of technology in of Oman.
- Specifically, the agreement laid the framework for collaboration between OES and RWTH Aachen University in terms of academic curricula, quality assurance and expertise, and setting up a technological university.
- All GUtech programmes have been developed in cooperation of GUtech with RWTH Aachen University in Germany.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
A. Strategic Leadership & Planning
- Lead the development and execution of business development plan aligned with GUtech’s vision, corporate objectives and plan.
- Operate under the strategic oversight of the Budgeting, Financial & Investment Committee / Senior Management Committee.
- Translate strategic goals into actionable plans, targets, and KPIs.
- Ensure alignment of all initiatives with organizational priorities and quality standards.
- Oversee departmental planning, performance monitoring, and evaluation.
B. Business Development & Growth
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Develop and implement revenue-generating initiatives to support financial sustainability.
- Build strong pipelines of opportunities across public and private sectors.
C. Partnerships & Stakeholder Engagement
- Establish and maintain strategic partnerships.
- Strengthen relationships in line with Domain 1: Stakeholder Expectations.
- Represent the organization in high-level meetings, forums, and negotiations.
D. Proposals, Tenders & Project Development
- Lead the preparation and submission of high-quality proposals, bids, and RFP responses.
- Coordinate inputs from technical, financial, legal, and governance teams.
- Ensure proposals are accurate, competitive, and aligned with client requirements.
- Oversee project lifecycle stages:
- Concept development
- Financial evaluation
- Implementation planning
- Performance monitoring and ROI analysis
- Support negotiations and contract finalization.
E. Market Intelligence & Innovation
- Conduct market research, demand forecasting, and competitor analysis.
- Develop business cases and cost-benefit analyses for new initiatives.
- Enhance internal capabilities in innovation and strategic foresight

- يعود تاريخ الجامعة الألمانية للتكنولوجيا (GUtech) إلى عام 2003، عندما راودت رؤية ثاقبة بعض العمانيين لإنشاء جامعة تقنية عالية الجودة في سلطنة عمان. وقد استُلهمت هذه الرؤية من توجيهات جلالة السلطان قابوس بن عبد العزيز آل سعود بتوفير التعليم العالي المتميز في سلطنة عمان من قبل المستثمرين من القطاع الخاص.
- تم التواصل مع جامعة RWTH آخن في ألمانيا بهدف جلب التميز الألماني في التعليم إلى سلطنة عمان. وبعد سنوات من النقاش والتفاوض، أصبح المؤسسون على استعداد لبدء خطة عمل لإنشاء الجامعة.
- في أغسطس 2006، تأسست شركة عُمان للخدمات التعليمية (OES)، وهي شركة ذات مسؤولية محدودة بموجب قوانين سلطنة عُمان، بهدف إنشاء جامعة رسمية. وتُعدّ OES أيضاً الكيان القانوني المسؤول عن إطلاق المشاريع المستقبلية المتعلقة بالتعليم.
- تم توقيع اتفاقية تعاون بين جامعة RWTH آخن وشركة OES في ديسمبر 2006، مما مهد الطريق لإنشاء جامعة خاصة في سلطنة عمان. وقد رسّخ هذا الاتفاق الأساس لكل ما كان يصبو إليه المؤسس: جامعة تقنية عالية الجودة في عمان.
- وعلى وجه التحديد، وضع الاتفاق إطاراً للتعاون بين OES وجامعة RWTH آخن من حيث المناهج الأكاديمية وضمان الجودة والخبرة، وإنشاء جامعة تكنولوجية.

- قيادة عملية إعداد وتقديم مقترحات وعروض أسعار وردود على طلبات تقديم العروض عالية الجودة.
- تنسيق المدخلات من الفرق الفنية والمالية والقانونية وفرق الحوكمة.
- تأكد من أن المقترحات دقيقة وتنافسية ومتوافقة مع متطلبات العميل.
- الإشراف على مراحل دورة حياة المشروع:
- تطوير المفهوم
- التقييم المالي
